today on the train home the guy next to me was on his phone and at one point i saw him go on tumblr and he just had like. a normie dash. like it was all photography. of nature and architecture. he was using tumblr the way a heterosexual landscaper for rich people might use instagram. i actually had to watch his screen for a few seconds to be sure it really was tumblr because i was so taken aback by the content he was viewing. this is why algorithmless websites are so beautiful btw because i genuinely didn’t know that this side of tumblr even existed. he didn’t even so much as scroll past any text posts.
i absolutely hate doing this…….. but i’ve stumbled upon a financial crisis recently because our dad has left us (me and my family) for another woman and he was the only source of income to the family lol i am in law school and my sister is in highschool and well i am struggling to find a job until i graduate (bc rn no local cafe or shop wants an employee) and my mother makes $300 a month (of which we pay $180 for the monthly bills) so we are rn barely surviving!!!! it will be all good !!! staying positive and all!!! but um i could really use a liittle teeeny tiny bit of help until i find a paying job to support my family 😭
people have the audacity to equate vanilla with “plain”. the fruit of a delicate orchid pollinated by hand. worth its weight in solid gold and beyond. the fussy black-and-cream jewel of the american continent. you sick son of a bitch. imagine a world without vanilla. no blondies. no pound cakes. no crème brûlée, no coke floats. no cream soda. no satiny new york-style cheesecakes. no warm apple pie à la mode. no velvety complexity to bring out complex notes in chocolate desserts. no depth of flavour in your cakes and cookies and milkshakes. all in just a few precious seeds or grams of paste or perfumed teaspoons of liquid black platinum. what you don’t understand could fill the library of alexandria seven times over and then some. you ungrateful bastard i’m going to kill you
